Since the beginning of time, mankind has used crystals and stones for various applications, from decoration to protection and even healing. Below we offer the energetic properties associated with the various stones.
Moldavite: This is a tektite which is found in Czechoslovakia and was formed during meteoritic action which produced a "strew field" of this beautiful green stone. It is one of the rarest varieties of tektite.
Moonstone: The energy of Moonstone relates to "new beginnings". It is a stone for "feeling" and understanding via intuition and emotional thoughts rather than via intellectual reasoning. It stimulates confidence and composure and allows one to understand that there is no situation so difficult that it cannot be countered with diplomacy.
Morganite: This mineral is an activator, cleanser, and stimulator for the heart chakra. It helps to bring love into ones life and also stimulates the transmittal of impersonal wisdom from ones guides. It is a powerful stone, in massive form, for use in ceremonies around the medicine wheel.
Obsidian: This is an excellent grounding stone and helps connect the person from the base of the spine to the Earth. It is also a protective stone, providing a shield against negativity, transforming negative vibrations within an environment. There are many different varieties and colors of obsidian each that possess additional properties or energies.
Onyx: This mineral is an excellent stone for initiating the modes of centering and alignment of the total person with the higher powers. It can be used to banish grief, to enhance self-control, to stimulate the power of wise decision-making, and to encourage happiness and good fortune. It also helps one to become the master of ones own future.
Opal: This stone is known as a "stone of happy dreams and changes"; the happy dreams arising from the understanding of personal higher potentials coupled with the glad acceptance of ones inherent perfection. The happy changes emanate from those events and situations which allow ones aspirations to surface. It can also be used to strengthen ones memory.
Pearl: The pearl signifies faith, charity, and innocence, enhances personal integrity, and helps to provide a focus to ones attention. It has also been used to inhibit boisterous behavior.
Peridot: This mineral emits a warm and friendly energy. It can be used to cleanse and stimulate the heart and solar plexus chakras, brining openness and acceptance in the intellectual pursuit of matters of love and relationships. It provides for a shield of protection around the body and also help to heal a "bruised ego" by assisting one in lessening the anger or jealousy, inspiring happiness within the self.
Petalite: This mineral has been known as a "stone of the angels" and has been used to further ones angelic connection, ones connection with the ancient civilizations, and ones alliance with spiritual guides and totem animals. It is also a stone of Earth-grounding; hence, one can remain grounded during spiritual work. It acts to bring the qualities of an energy vortex to the area in which it is located; so carried upon the body, it acts to activate all energy center and serves to provide a continual source of energy in that location.
Petrified Wood: This is an ancient wood that has been replaced and hardened by another mineral, generally agate (chalcedony), or quartz. The "agatized wood" exhibits the properties of AGATE and CHALCEDONY. The "Silicified wood" replaced by quartz, can assist in the removal of trifling annoyances by bringing one to the actions required to eliminate the situation. It provides for strength in all areas of ones life and is also a stone for grounding.
Pietersite: This mineral can be used to stimulate the pineal gland and to assist one during meditative states to experience visions and pre-cognitive thoughts. It was discovered by Sid Pieters, Windhoek, Namibia and is truly lovely. Pietersite assists one in remaining open to experience and further allows one to see beyond the horizon, helping to support human courage, tenacity, and dauntless effort to both create and maintain beauty.
Prehnite: This mineral can be used to multiply energy and to enhance ones protective fields. It is quite effective during the use as one of the stones in gridding operations; use of prehnite in a grid that is designed to produce calmness, brings a structure of coherence to the environment.
Pyrite: This mineral possesses a defending quality and is an excellent preventive which will shield one from many forms of negative energy. It also encourages and sustains the flawless ideal of health, intellect, and emotional well-being. It also assists one in seeing behind facades, promoting understanding or that which lies beneath words and actions.
